I snapped this in 2011 when I was commuting on foot to work. During the last five years when I riding the bus, I used my old Northface backpack (third from left) to carry my lunch and laptop. See more in my (long) About page.
After my walk home from work. I commuted on foot year-round for three years. My round-trip walk was 5+ miles. Just the right amount, IMO. I varied my route depending on the time of year and areas I would decide to explore.High viz naysayers might say otherwise and I might look goofy (and overweight), but I can attest that the reflective tape worked great during our dark, rainy, windy winter days. I had two very close calls with motorists.
